James Randklev Photographer

Master landscape photographer James Randklev has photographed North America for thirty years, primarily with a large-format view camera that provides the rich images in this canvas art collection. His brilliant and sensitive work has made him one of the Sierra Club's most published calendar photographers. His color photographs have appeared in books, magazines, calendars and advertising. In 2003 Randklev was selected as one of the best nature photographers in the world by Roto Vision Publications for a book entitled World's Top Landscape Photographers and the Stories Behind Their Greatest Images.
From the very beginning of his career, Randklev had a natural curiosity of the environment and a commitment to enlighten others about protecting what we have. Growing up on the rugged Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, USA, Randklev's love of nature led to a degree in biology from the University of Washington. Working as a seasonal park ranger at Olympic National Park, he further solidified his passion for nature's complexity and beauty. Over the years, Randklev drove, hiked and climbed almost every national park, monument and coastline searching for indelible images that define a sense of place and wonder. He has published 14 books, over 200 calendars and dozens of posters. Now you can own an original canvas art print of his finest images ready to be displayed in your home or office.
